VISUAL EFFECT : PROJECT DIARY

31ST FEBRURARY 2020: I took pictures of the settings the camera can achieve and i made a tutorial of how you can achieve these settings by clicking which buttons and how you use it. The things that went good for this project is everything. 3RD FEBRURARY 2020: I researched about three point lighting and wrote about how you can achieve these different lighting settings i put pictures next to information for reference. 14TH FEBRURARY 2020: 13TH MARCH 2020:  On this date Lucy & I filmed our scenes in the recording studio with different camera angles and a green screen. We then started editing our clips so that we could remove the green and add things to the background of our clip. The good parts of this process was us editing the clips as we were experienced with the software we were using, Lucy and I used Adobe After Effects to edit our videos by using the 'rotobrush tool.' LA1: UNDERSTANDING THE PURPOSE OF DIGETIC AND NON-DIGETIC SOUND

DIEGETIC: This is what happens in the story so all of the people on set can actually hear this noise happening, Its a noise that is played on screen such as car horns, traffic, gun shots or people dancing to music.    NON-DIEGETIC This is a noise that is not heard on set, this is used to enhance mood and feelings for the atmosphere that the sound will be placed on an example of this is background music or voiceovers. EXAMPLE 1: The start of this (the underwater scene) is an example of non-diegetic sound as the music didn't actually play underwater they added it during editing so nobody could actually hear this before the music was overlaid on top. This is used as non-diegetic sound so that it creates a suspense/dramatic effect to the viewer by the way the tempo rises and the notes sound very dark.  EXAMPLE 2: The middle part of this scene (campfire scene) is an example of diegetic sound as this is what they were actually doing whi...
