THREE POINT LIGHTING: VISUAL TECHNIQUE

THREE POINT LIGHTING KEY LIGHT: The key light is the main light used, it is usually the strongest of all three therefore having the most influence on the subject. It is placed to one side of the subject so one side of the object has shadows essentially causing dimension.  FILL LIGHT: This is the secondary light used placed directly opposite the key light, this is used to fill/eliminate the shadows caused by the key light. The fill light will usually be a lot softer and less harsh than the key light, to achieve this you can either move the fill light further away from the object or use some spun. You may also want to set the fill light to more of a flood than the key. BACK LIGHT: The back light is placed behind the subject and shone from the rear. Rather than providing direct light to the object (like the key and fill does) its purpose is to provide definition and subtle highlights around the objects outlines, this helps to separate the subject from the background ...

LA1: CARRY OUT A PRE-PRODUCTION (PROPOSAL)

PROPOSAL: My short film idea is to create a thriller-type, zero dialogue movie about a teenager who sells his soul to become famous after he researched about it online after seeing that his peers were doing it for other things and he wanted to give it a try to see of its actually works however, when it actually works it is never what he imagined and it gets too much for him to handle. He starts to wish for his old life back however, what he has done is irreversible and has to live with it forever.   As my movie is a zero dialogue movie, there will be no script other than sounds here and then however, the most captivating one sentence way yo describe my film would be that the boy in the film does a ritual in his bedroom then after that what he wishes for becomes true. He shortly learns to be careful what you wish for.  In my 3-act structure for 'the setup' i am going to have him seeing his peers selling their souls for things they desire, this will be where he f...

MARKET RESEARCH TASK

Video Title: Vegas 2019  Link:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYBKesJrlF0 I think this video is very much the style of editing i would like to use as i already know how to use the effects such as the velocity (where the clips go fast then slow) and i already know where to find the light leaks and VHS overlays on youtube. I think this video is all around a good video as it is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye which captivates the reader and draws them in and keeps them interested with the virtual tour of Vegas.  Some of the cons of this video i would say is that it isn't very informative such as there is no titles telling us exactly what we are looking at this may confuse the watcher as if they are going to visit they may want to go to that exact place however there is no titles saying where it is. This is one of the major flaws with the project as i believe with a tour you should get to learn where things are. This is a very key piece of information that...
