Induction Task Evaluation
Initial Assessment Task
Me and Lucy worked as one while
developing the plan to our idea with making sure that both of our ideas were
included and nothing was left out. Lucy and I made sure we were equally
involved by both taking part in the shooting and the editing of the video clips
in Premiere Pro. We planned this in task in our notebooks thoroughly to make
sure that everything planed smoothly and efficiently.
The features we used are the ‘slow-mo’
option on our phones giving the clips a velocity effect while we moved the
cameras in a panoramic shot then edited the speed and duration of the slow
motion. We used a non-copyright song from YouTube, we chose to do it this was
as it is a style that we are familiar with. We used our phones to film the clips
for the Task, we found using these easy as we use them of a day to day basis.
One technical challenge we encountered was that my phone died during filming so
we had to come back to the classroom and charge it then go back out to film.
Lucy and I ensured that we both used the
editing software to get used to it while doing this we both discovered things
that the other person didn’t know therefore broadening our knowledge of the
software.
The skills I have developed are things
such as, how to use the editing software. I believe this will help me further
on in the course as this is a key piece of information you must know while
studying the creative media course.
Some things would do differently would
be to plan exactly what I am recording before I go out and just record in a messed-up
order with no plan/check sheet.
